220 Student Ministry

220 Student Ministry is about helping young people grow in their relationship with Christ and live their life boldly for Him! We want teenagers to have a place where they feel loved, accepted, and at home. We do these things by providing a balance of fun and fellowship with teaching them about life and God’s plan for their lives.

Crossover 56

Crossover 56 is a ministry for students in 5th and 6th grade. This is commonly an awkward time in life where students are moving from those elementary school years into middle school. We do our very best to make these transitions as seamless as possible and create an atmosphere where these students can grow in Christ and receive the nurture they need.

Middle School Ministry

Middle school is a time of discovery. For many students these are difficult years and we want to help these young people to discover God’s plan and purpose for their lives. On Wednesday evenings we bring them in with our High School students for an exciting time of Worship. As these students begin to discover God’s plan we begin to allow them to serve and work in other areas of ministry.

High School Ministry

Here at Sonrise we expect a lot from our high school students. Not only do we ask them to be leaders and set an example for our younger students, but also we provide them with opportunities to serve and work. Many of our high school students serve on our worship team on Sunday morning and teach in our children’s ministry as well. We work to help them know what they believe and why they believe it so that they will be prepared for the next step in life.

Weekly Activities

MidWeek

Wednesday nights are a huge part of our student ministry here at Sonrise! Small Groups begin at 5:00pm and at 5:30pm the doors open to our 220 Sanctuary for students (5th thru 12th grade) to come in and eat pizza, buy merch, and hangout with other students! At 6:15 we start our service with all students and after the music portion, our 5th and 6th graders move upstairs for a time of Bible study and discipleship. 7th – 12th grade is taught by Skeeter on Wednesday nights.

Small Groups

Youth small groups meet on Wednesday nights at 5:00pm. These are groups of 5 to 6 students that gather weekly for fellowship, Bible study, prayer and accountability.
